De Popcentrale is onderdeel van stichting ToBe. ToBe is een regionale kunstinstelling, actief in de regio Zuid-Holland-zuid.

De Popcentrale heeft als doelstelling de actieve beoefening van pop- (en andere) muziek ondersteunen en verruimen. De Popcentrale realiseert dit door de exploitatie van 6 oefenruimtes waarvan 1 drumcabine, een opnamestudio en een podium voor muzikanten. Daarnaast biedt de Popcentrale ook diverse workshops aan en is de Popschool in de Popcentrale gevestigd. Elke dinsdag- en woensdagmiddag en -avond is de Popcentrale gereserveerd voor de Popschool. Naast al deze voorzieningen is de Popcentrale ook een ontmoetingsplek waar je naar een band en/of dj kunt kijken en luisteren, een drankje kunt drinken en veel muzikanteninformatie kunt krijgen. De Popcentrale organiseert diverse spannende en vernieuwende projecten zoals Urban Explorers festival, Reflex en Multi Culture Club.

The Popcentrale has as a target to support and broaden the active training of pop– and other sorts of music for Dordrecht and the region Zuid-Holland - zuid. Popcentrale conducts this with exploitation of six rehearsal studio’s. One of them is a drum cabine, a recording studio and a stage which they can offer to the musicians.

The Popcentrale also offers a diversity of eductional activities such as the popschool, bandcoaching and  (music)workshops. Also what the Popcentrale does, it creates a meeting place where you can hear and see a band/crewand/or a DJ, where you can also enjoy a drink and where you can get al sorts of music information. Popcentrale organizes al sorts of exciting and renewed projects, such as; The Urban Explorers Festival, Reflex and the Multi Culture Club project
